BRAKE PRESS HELPER

Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the Brake Press Helper is responsible for operating brake presses, making equipment adjustments to manufacture quality products, maintaining equipment including preventative maintenance and repairs, and preparing daily production sheets and quality control documents.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate machines to produce quality products meeting company specifications.
• Change machine dies as required for production.
• Perform daily inspections and service machines according to company guidelines.
• Maintain machines in a clean condition and perform routine maintenance.
• Keep work area clean, uncluttered, and safe.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections as directed.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of related manufacturing experience, preferably in metal forming or shaping.
• Some experience operating and programming brake presses.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Experience operating forklift and overhead crane; certification is an asset (training available).
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Experience with plasma cutting and welding.
• Mechanically inclined for minor repairs and corrective actions.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• High attention to detail.
