Job summary

Montessori Teachers College is seeking a passionate and professional Preschool Supervisor for their Laurels Bay Preschool in Edmonton, Alberta. The role focuses on providing excellent early childhood education based on the Montessori method.

Job Overview

We would like to employ a professional, Montessori-certified and passionate Preschool Supervisor who is willing to work on a preschool level on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidate is to guarantee that our program provides excellent early childhood education programs based on the Montessori method of education in place and proper standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage an enriched Montessori curriculum.
  • Lead teaching staff at preschool creating the team’s professional environment.
  • Keep track of each child’s development and journal the developmental milestones.
  • Ensure that childcare licensing regulations and safety requirements are also recorded and followed.
  • Be in positive relations with children and the family of the children and with other staff members.
Qualifications
  • MACTE-certified Montessori teacher.
  • Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 3 Certification.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and good communication skills.
  • Experience in early childhood education would be an advantage.
