The Opportunity

We are seeking a temporary, full-time Preschool/Pre-Primary Educator to cover a maternity leave starting August 21, 2025. The ideal candidate is experienced, innovative, and passionate about early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and instruct engaging lessons across all curriculum areas.
  • Foster creativity through storytelling, music, drama, visual arts, and physical activity.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student learning styles and interests.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and parents.
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with children and families.
  • Maintain a warm, patient, and supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 or 3 Early Childhood Education Diploma.
  • Current First Aid and CPR “C” certification.
  • Child Abuse Register Certificate.
  • Strong understanding of early learning pedagogy, including planning, implementation, and assessment.
  • A variety of teaching strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Energetic, collaborative, and committed to professional growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to engage in co-curricular programs and the broader school community.
  • Experience in an independent school setting is considered an advantage.
