The Opportunity
We are seeking a
temporary, full-time Preschool/Pre-Primary Educator to cover a maternity leave starting August 21, 2025. The ideal candidate is experienced, innovative, and passionate about early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and instruct engaging lessons across all curriculum areas.
- Foster creativity through storytelling, music, drama, visual arts, and physical activity.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student learning styles and interests.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and parents.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with children and families.
- Maintain a warm, patient, and supportive classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Level 2 or 3 Early Childhood Education Diploma.
- Current First Aid and CPR “C” certification.
- Child Abuse Register Certificate.
- Strong understanding of early learning pedagogy, including planning, implementation, and assessment.
- A variety of teaching strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
- Energetic, collaborative, and committed to professional growth.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Willingness to engage in co-curricular programs and the broader school community.
- Experience in an independent school setting is considered an advantage.
