Job summary

YMCA of Regina seeks an Early Learning Centre Preschool Educator to provide a safe, nurturing classroom where children ages 3–5 learn through play and exploration using the Playing to Learn Curriculum.

The role supports development milestones with teamwork, adheres to regulations, and requires a 30‑hour week during school hours, CPR/First Aid, and a current vulnerable sector check; Grade 12 and 1–2 years childcare experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Education Level I-III certification is an asset but not required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a structured childcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Aware of and uphold Ministry of Education childcare regulations while fostering teamwork.
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 3-5 years old, to learn and explore.
• Engage and encourage children through the implementation of the YMCAs Playing to Learn Curriculum.
• Maintains a clean and healthy workplace according to public health and YMCA standards.
• Demonstrates a commitment to working in partnership with parents, families, stakeholders and team members.
