Job description

Join Our Team as a Preschool Associate Teacher at Catalyst Family Inc.

We are seeking dedicated Preschool Associate Teachers to support and implement engaging programs for children of various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children, depending on the location. Teachers should be capable of facilitating age-appropriate activities, supporting social-emotional development, and maintaining a safe, supervised environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute developmentally appropriate curricula aligned with learning foundations and children's interests.
  • Create enriching, supportive learning environments that are suitable for all children’s ages.
  • Establish authentic, culturally responsive relationships with children, families, and the community.
  • Ensure children's health and safety through proper supervision and positive interactions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality programs and foster a positive workplace culture.
Work Environment & Physical Conditions

All staff must demonstrate behaviors essential for a successful program, including positive interactions, punctuality, outdoor and indoor activity participation, and physical capability to meet children's needs. Staff may need to supervise field trips and adapt to various weather conditions and terrains.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 12-24 semester units in ECE, CD, or related fields, or possess an Associate Teacher Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a group care environment preferred.
  • Current CPR & First Aid certification is a plus.
Schedule & Compensation

Full-time, seasonal position from April to October 2025, Monday to Friday, with shifts between 5 am and 5:30 pm. Hourly wage ranges from $17.05 to $25.58.
