About the Role

We’re looking for a results-focused Presales Engineer to help expand the reach of our CAD and RMS solutions in public safety. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, operations, and storytelling. Someone who can translate complex workflows into compelling, real-world solutions that drive clarity, trust, and adoption.

You’ll be a trusted partner to the sales team, bringing deep product knowledge and public safety insight to every agency interaction. Whether it’s running a demo that mirrors a dispatch center’s daily workflow or configuring a proof-of-concept for a regional records team, your job is to help agencies see what’s possible with Versaterm.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead high-impact, customized product demonstrations for dispatchers, records personnel, command staff, and IT teams
  • Participate in discovery calls to understand operational workflows, pain points, and functional needs
  • Support the development of technically accurate and compliant RFP/RFI responses
  • Collaborate with sales, product, implementation, and leadership teams to align messaging and strategy
  • Create and maintain technical documentation: solution briefs, diagrams, specs, and demo scripts
  • Provide ongoing feedback to the product team on feature requests, workflow gaps, and user insights
  • Contribute to cross-functional efforts including proof-of-concepts, technical validations, and customer pilots
  • Analyze demo outcomes and win/loss trends to refine approach and materials
  • Stay current on product releases, competitive offerings, and industry trends
  • Support business development at trade shows, webinars, and user group meetings

  • Feedback and collaboration across sales, product, and implementation teams
  • Clear documentation, configuration accuracy, and technical readiness
  • Integrity-driven engagement and long-term agency trust
Preferred Background
  • 3–5 years in presales, technical consulting, public safety software, or related fields
  • Hands-on experience with CAD, RMS, dispatching systems (preferably with Versaterm)
  • Must have prior experience working in or with public safety agencies (e.g., law enforcement, fire, EMS, or 911)
  • Strong presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiarity with RFP processes and public procurement cycles
  • Experience with Versaterm products and other third party public safety software platforms
  • Comfortable with tools like Salesforce
