Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Customer Service and Logistics Associate will be responsible for the logistics of the branch's internal operations and ensuring quality service is provided to customers and employees. This position requires a degree of autonomy and resourcefulness, with little supervision. The incumbent must be detail-oriented and place a high priority on the compliance, health, and safety of the team and the branch. Please note that this position takes place in a hazardous and flammable materials plant.


  • Support and ensure the smooth logistical functioning of operations.
  • Support and collaborate with the external sales team.
  • Support and collaborate with the internal team to ensure outstanding customer service.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure liaison with logistics transport and production;
  • Prepare the drivers' routes;
  • Support the representatives on the road;
  • Ensure the proper use of rolling equipment according to standards and customer needs;
  • Act independently and responsibly, with little supervision;
  • Collaborate with the laboratory and ensure quality monitoring of the required documentation;
  • Building and maintaining a relationship of trust with our customers.
  • Answer customer calls and take customer orders and perform data entry;
  • Redirect opportunities perceived over the telephone to external sales;
  • Facilitate communications between customers, representatives and technicians;
  • Maintain customer files up to date;
  • Write submissions and keep them up to date;
  • Support the Sales and Operations Director;
  • Participate in the morning meeting on production activities and organization of the day as well as the weekly coordination meeting;
  • All other related tasks.

Requirements:

  • TMD training or similar experience (mandatory);
  • Experience in logistics and transport planning;
  • Good knowledge in the field of chemicals and hazardous materials;
  • Experience in compliance, food transportation, and others are an asset;
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Excellent adaptability and proactivity;
  • Autonomy and resourcefulness;
  • Excellent multitasking abilities;
  • Sense of responsibility and initiative;
  • Good geographical knowledge of the province of Quebec;
  • Enjoys teamwork and contributes to a positive atmosphere;
  • Complex problem solving ability;
  • Analytical mind and good judgment;
  • Good work ethic;
  • Proficiency in the Google suite (asset).

Work environment:

Temporary position, lasting 1 month, with work schedule from Monday to Friday, daytime, 40 hours per week. The work is done in person at the Dangerous Materials plant in Cowansville.
