Job summary

Sobeys Inc. in Halifax is seeking a dedicated Deli/A La Carte supervisor to deliver friendly, professional customer service and to oversee the deli team in the absence of the Manager. You will actively contribute to a positive work environment and help maintain high sanitation and service standards.

You will assist in fulfilling orders, merchandising, and enforcing company policies while supporting coaching and development for teammates. This role offers growth within a nationwide retailer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 12 months of experience in retail or deli environment.
• Ability to supervise in manager's absence and support team.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service across deli and a la carte.
• Supervise deli staff in the Manager's absence.
• Support coaching and development of employees.
• Prepare and fulfill customer deli orders.
• Merchandise deli/a la carte service cases.
• Maintain sanitation standards.
• Adhere to company standards and policies.
• Perform administrative duties as required.

Provide customers with friendly and professional service. Fulfill duties for all areas of the Deli/ A La Carte Department. Supervise the Deli/ A La Carte Department and staff in the absence of the Manager. Actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
