Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of work experience in a kitchen or similar environment.
  • Excellent eye-hand coordination.
  • Current Safe Food Handler’s Certificate.
  • Fine motor skills for cutting, chopping and arranging meals.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
  • Previous up-selling or sales experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity.
  • Prepares food by cutting, chopping and mixing for the preliminary stages of cooking.
  • Sets up the cooking stations in conjunction with the different levels of cooking prior to the shift.
  • Pre-cooks food items to ensure food supplies are ready for the shifts, i.e. pasta, rice, vegetables etc.
  • Ensures the cooking areas are supplied and clean prior to and after the shift.
  • Assists Cooks/Chefs as required.
  • Ability to be trained in any of the food outlets.
  • Follows LHPL’s standards for food preparation.
  • Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and services.
  • Suggesting additional products and services meeting our Guests’ specific preferences.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
