Premix Plant Operator

Heartland Feeds is a family-owned and operated Livestock Nutrition and Agronomy Service business based out of Ponoka, AB. We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as a Premix Plant Operator in our state-of-the-art facility. We strive to produce high-quality livestock nutrition products for our clients across Western Canada.

Qualifications

1. Passion for Agriculture
2. Physically fit and able to lift 25 kg
3. Positive work attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
4. Ability to work with a team and independently with minimal supervision
5. Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and noise
6. Forklift certification is an asset; training will be provided to the right candidate
7. Must be eligible to work in Canada

Required Skills

1. Operate and monitor premix production and bagging equipment using computerized systems
2. Follow manufacturing practices and record keeping procedures
3. Load bulk trucks and ship products efficiently
4. Perform preventive and sanitary maintenance of the plant and ensure quality control of ingredients
5. Accurately record scale weights and transactions daily
6. Collect and process samples as required
7. Troubleshoot minor problems and perform maintenance to fix them
