Job summary

Westeck Windows and Doors is seeking a Class 5 Driver with Air Brake Endorsement to safely transport and deliver premium window and door products across British Columbia and beyond. This temporary role covers a Leave of Absence through Aug 31, 2026, with potential to transition to a full-time position based on business needs.

Responsibilities include loading, securing, and delivering products, conducting vehicle inspections, and maintaining safety standards in mountain and winter conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Clean driver's abstract.
• Previous commercial driving and delivery experience.
• Demonstrated mountain & winter driving experience.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles requiring a Class 5 licence with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Transport and deliver windows, doors, and related products to customers and job sites.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections.
• Load, secure, and unload products to prevent damage during transport.
• Verify shipments and delivery documentation for accuracy.
• Ensure products are handled carefully and delivered in excellent condition.
• Maintain compliance with transportation regulations and company safety standards.
• Navigate mountain highways and varying road conditions safely and confidently.
• Operate effectively in winter driving conditions, including snow, ice, and reduced visibility.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members.
• Report vehicle maintenance concerns, incidents, or delivery issues promptly.
• Assist with warehouse, shipping, and yard activities as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe work environment.
