Job Description

Within the Internal Audit team – Corporate Services, the incumbent will be responsible for conducting audit mandates related to CDPQ's processes and those of its subsidiary CDPQ Infra (including the REM project). They will lead and participate in team efforts to formulate recommendations aimed at reducing risks and increasing operational effectiveness and efficiency.

They will leverage their influence and interpersonal skills to rally audited teams around their value-added recommendations. Through their knowledge and problem-solving abilities, the individual will propose innovative ideas to enhance the work and practices of the Internal Audit team.

What you will do

  • Perform audit mandates to evaluate governance, the ability to achieve business objectives, and controls of CDPQ and its subsidiary CDPQ Infra, and formulate recommendations to mitigate risks and improve efficiency.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute audit mandates using an agile approach, defining detailed steps, scope, objectives, and criteria.
  • Develop the audit program and, with the team, execute audit procedures, analyze processes and controls, and ensure proper documentation of findings.
  • Validate observations and recommendations with sector managers, prepare clear and concise audit reports, assist auditees in developing action plans, and monitor their implementation.
  • Collaborate with other lines of defense and external auditors.
  • Contribute to promoting internal audit, evolving audit programs through data analysis, and provide expertise on various consulting and special projects.
  • Support managers in team management tasks and stakeholder reporting, and participate in optimizing work methods.

What you bring

  • University degree in administration, accounting, finance, or a related field;
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years as an internal audit officer, external auditor, or risk management professional, preferably in the financial sector;
  • Professional designation such as CPA, CIA, or CFA is an asset;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Knowledge of data analysis and visualization software;
  • Fluency in French and good command of English, both spoken and written.*
