Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. in Burlington is seeking a Warehouse Associate for a part-time permanent role. You will sort and stock packages, and load/unload them into and out of UPS delivery vehicles and trailers.

Shift schedule starts early morning, 3-5 hours per day, Tue-Sat, with start at around 5am and end around 9-10:30am. This position requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and to work 25 hours per week, in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Job Description:

The Warehouse Associate’s position is a physical fast-paced and labor-intensive role within a warehouse environment that involves sorting/stocking packages as well as loading and unloading them into and out of UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers.

Job Type: Part-Time - Permanent

Work Location: 1101 Blair Rd. Burlington ONL7M 1T3

Workdays: Tuesday to Saturday

Shift Duration: 3-5 hours per day *(Flexibility is required with both the start and finish times)

Shift Schedule Start Time : 5 am - 6:15 am (approx)

Shift Schedule End Time: 9 am - 10:30 am (approx)

**Applicants must be able to work 25 hours per week**

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Load and unload packages into package delivery vehicles and trailers
• Learn and properly execute company-established package handling methods
• Sort and stock packages based on postal codes

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35kg)
• Full availability to work Tuesday to Saturday (all five days of the week)
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
• Warehouse experience (would be considered an asset)

Compensation and Benefits:

• Weekly compensation starting at $18.50 / per hour ($17.95 minimum wage).
• Guaranteed wage progression through Union Collective Agreement - $36.53 per hour after seniority plus 48 months of service.
