Southlake Health seeks a non-clinical Preferred Accommodation (PA) Representative to ensure patient accommodation requests are met and to communicate the program to patients. You will gather and verify documentation and financial information, supporting the care team with a focus on detail and patient relations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical and non-clinical staff, adaptability to hybrid work arrangements, and a commitment to patient-centered service.

  • Post-secondary education in marketing and sales preferred

About the role:

The Preferred Accommodation (PA) Representative is a non-clinical member of the patient care team responsible for ensuring that Southlake patients' preferred accommodation requests are met to the best of the hospital's ability.

The Preferred Accommodation Representative will communicate Southlake's Preferred Accommodation program and ensure that all required documentation and financial information are complete.

Potential schedule - One day per month

What you bring:
  • Post-secondary education- marketing and sales background preferred
  • A minimum of two years' recent experience in a customer service role with demonstrated computer proficiency (face-to-face experience required)
  • Previous experience dealing with patients Hospital and health care facility experience
  • Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pay close attention to details
  • Must be willing to work required shifts
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Highly creative and innovative problem-solving and solution-oriented skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills, strong influencing, investigative and soft selling abilities
  • Ability to effectively negotiate financial transactions and foster positive relationships with patients, families, clinical and non- clinical staff members
