Job summary

Chesapeake Contracting Group is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to supervise a team of bid coordinators and act as the department's go-to for procedures and systems.

The role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional who can manage multiple deadlines while coordinating with VP of Pre-Construction and the Estimating Director. A flexible work environment and strong benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical training experience.
• Minimum 3 years construction experience or relevant project experience.
• College Degree preferred.
• Experience as a subject matter expert for Building Connected and Procore.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu for document management and estimating.
• Independent, self-managed, and self-starter personality.
• Keen attention to details.
• Must have a moderate level of knowledge and experience in commercial construction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage bid coordinators.
• Delegate project assignments and ensure quality management.
• Conduct annual and periodic reviews.
• Provide support to VP of Pre-Construction and Estimating Director.
• Assist with Building Connected and Procore updates and training.
• Design and deliver Building Connected training.
• Develop a communication strategy for system updates across the organization.
• Maintain training manuals and internal procedures.
• Organize training materials for versioning and access.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing training to associates.
• Manage workload schedules and pricing history files for the department.
• Provide general administrative support to the VP of Pre-Construction.
