If you're a forward-thinking, relationship-driven preconstruction expert ready to take ownership of strategic project planning, we want you on our team. We’re seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead our Preconstruction efforts in Winnipeg. This is your chance to play a key role in projects that start strong—and finish stronger. You'll work directly with owners, consultants, and internal teams to shape successful builds from concept to kickoff.

As our Preconstruction Manager at Graham you will :

  • Lead the full preconstruction process : conceptual estimating, budgeting, procurement, risk analysis, scheduling, and safety planning.
  • Develop and refine conceptual estimates, budgets, and value-engineering strategies.
  • Advise clients and design teams on cost-effective options, materials, methods, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining strong industry relationships.
  • Oversee project risk and opportunity assessments, chair meetings, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Support and help win work through proposal development and client presentations.
  • Collaborate on project execution planning and subcontractor selection post-award.
  • Represent the company in meetings and communications with owners, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications / Experience :

  • Formal education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or construction.
  • A senior level Estimating skill set.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and subtrades.
  • Deep understanding of various delivery methods including design-build and hard-bid.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for risk mitigation.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring others.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external partners.
