Role Overview

The Precision Tooling Specialist is vital in maintaining and enhancing the function and integrity of all injection molding machines. From auxiliary equipment to mold storage and design modifications, you will ensure that everything runs smoothly with a keen focus on safety and detail.

Key Contributions

• Ensure the upkeep of molds, from routine checks to lubrication as necessary.
• Diagnose and solve mold-related issues, making necessary repairs and modifications.
• Fabricate parts, cores, and mold components with precision skills.
• Collaborate with process and setup technicians to ensure flawless mold operations.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, maintaining a comprehensive mold inspection routine.
• Manage inventory for spare mold parts, ensuring dimensional accuracy.
• Skilled operation of workshop equipment, including mills and grinders.
• Coordinate services and create specialized tools for efficient operation.
• Support production through set-up mechanics and machine operations.
• Commit to safety, effectiveness, and cleanliness in all endeavors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with a technical degree or relevant experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with mold maintenance for over 5 years.
• Certification as a journeyman tool and die maker is essential.
• Exceptional knowledge of the injection molding process and material properties.
• English proficiency and Spanish skills advantageous.
• Mechanical aptitude complemented by strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in manual machining and equipment troubleshooting.
• Proven organizational, communication, and time management acumen.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Extended periods of standing and moving.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds.
• Mental acuity in math for precise operations and measurements.
