Job summary

Carlisle Companies is seeking a Slitter Operator to join our unionized production team. You will operate slitting/packaging cells to cut, package and label roofing products, following all policies and safety procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will work 7:00 am – 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm – 7:00 am on a rotating schedule, with no travel required. A High School Diploma and manufacturing experience are preferred, with opportunities for growth within a safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two to three years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with manufacturing machines is an asset.
• WHMIS knowledge and safety awareness are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate slitting/packaging cell to cut, package and label various rolled roofing products.
• Provide support to maintenance team to troubleshoot machine issues and implement improvements.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving results.
• Perform daily walks to ensure guards and safety devices are in place.
• Perform checks on safety equipment and record results as part of safety program.
• Validate the acceptability of product packaging and counts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader.
