Tigercat invites applications for an Assembly Technician position at our Paris, Ontario facility. You will read engineering diagrams and assembly drawings, align parts, connect hoses and wires, and fasten components using hand and power tools while following strict quality standards.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to work with a team, and adaptability to a dynamic environment. Training and benefits are provided within a family-oriented company culture.

Qualifications

• Previous related experience maintaining or repairing recreational vehicles, landscaping equipment, small engine repair, pre-apprenticeship training or other general construction/trades courses.
• Mechanical skills using hand tools and power tools.
• Experience reading blueprints or assembly drawings is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Read and thoroughly understand detailed assembly instructions, engineering diagrams, schematics, and parts lists to ensure meticulous assembly through fit and alignment.
• Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
• Connect hoses, tubes, clamps, and wires.
• Fasten parts and sub-assemblies together using hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
• Operate lifting devices such as cranes (overhead and/or jib) to complete large assembly installations.
• Verify that the assembled equipment functions correctly and adheres to quality standards to prevent faulty products from reaching customers.
