Job summary

Tigercat Industries is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to fit and assemble components for sub-assemblies of heavy forestry equipment. The role requires following engineering diagrams, problem solving and a strong mechanical aptitude.

The position is based at our Kitchener, Ontario facility with a dedicated day shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, offering a stable on-site work environment and opportunities for hands-on skill development in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Adapt to a changing work environment and handle multiple demands with flexibility.
• Effective communication and teamwork when working on multi-person projects.
• Good manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination are essential for precise assembly.
• Physical tasks include pulling, pushing, lifting, standing, kneeling and bending.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow diagrams, drawings, specifications, bills of material, parts lists and instructions to assemble components.
• Use hand, power and pneumatic tools to complete tasks.
• Operate jib cranes for assembly installations.
• Test and inspect electrical assemblies and wiring for proper connections.
• Repair or replace defective assemblies and components.
