Job summary

Bio-Techne in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a full-time assembler/tester to handle cartridge assembly and testing of complex instruments. The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and good communication skills. On-site position with growth opportunities in instrumentation and diagnostics.

The successful candidate will use microscopes, perform data recording, and maintain clean work areas. Prior GC or microfluidics experience is a plus; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail.
• Good communication skills (written and oral).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with Gas Chromatography (GC) Columns or microfluidics assembly a plus.
• Experience in electronic or medical device assembly a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect, assemble, and test cartridges or sub-assemblies using approved assembly procedures.
• Follow all work instructions and procedures and record all production information as required.
• Ability to use a computer to perform tests, download information or record test data.
• Ability to work with a microscope for extended periods of time.
• Able to use and maintain hand tools and various types of equipment to assemble and test cartridges.
• Good hand-eye coordination, stable hands for delicate component assembly.
• Comply with gowning protocols as required and maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area.
