Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5 years welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ASME standards is required.
• Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW and SAW welding processes.
• CWB/CSA W47 or ASME certification considered an asset.
• Ability to read, understand and follow blueprints and work instructions.
• Knowledge of plasma and oxyacetylene welding.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety policies in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and welding procedures.
• Prepare materials prior to welding and operate welding equipment (2G).
• Document defects and participate in quality reporting.
• Use overhead/jib cranes and other lifting devices as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
