Job summary

Taylor Corporation is seeking an Equipment Operator in Stratford, Ontario to join its production team. You will prepare and operate cutting and finishing equipment, ensuring adherence to job specifications and the company’s quality standards.

This role requires precise math, mechanical aptitude and strong reading skills, with a focus on safety and collaboration with the Production Team to meet deadlines and maintain product quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to set adjustable mechanism to required tolerances.
• High degree of math skills and attention to detail.
• High degree of mechanical ability.
• Good reading ability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate cutting and finishing equipment, in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures.
• Performs routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output.
• Check paper for type, size, color and quantity.
• Check job descriptions for correct format.
• Visually inspect forms throughout run for quality.
• Coordinate with Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
• Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment.
