Job summary

Can Art Aluminum Extrusion, Lakeshore location, is seeking an experienced CMM Operator & Programmer to join the Quality team. You will program, operate, and optimize Hexagon CMMs, translate drawings into programs, perform first-piece and in-process inspections, and support the quality management system.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of CMM experience, knowledge of GD&T, PC-DMIS, and MSA/Gauge R&R, and can work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

2–3 years hands-on CMM operation and programming experience.
Strong knowledge of GD&T, drawings, and dimensional inspection.
Experience with Hexagon CMM and PC-DMIS preferred.

Responsibilities

Program, operate, and optimize Hexagon CMMs for precise inspections.
Translate drawings and GD&T into reliable CMM programs.
Lead first-piece and in-process inspections and PPAP with CMMs.
Analyze inspection data and communicate quality concerns to teams.
Maintain calibration records and audit-ready measurement systems.
Support continuous improvement with Gauge R&R, capability studies, and corrective actions.
