A leading precast concrete manufacturer in Canada is seeking an entry-level Precast Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will assist in the design of precast concrete elements and receive mentorship alongside hands-on project exposure. Responsibilities include supporting design drawings, working with team members to meet requirements, and learning structural analysis under guidance. Established in 1963, Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast, pre‑stressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. Its primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces and the New England region of the United States. Strescon manufactures a wide range of both architectural and structural precast/prestressed concrete products including bridge girders, wall panels, complete parking garages, hollowcore slabs, precast pile, and deck slabs. Strescon presently has two facilities: 70,000 sq.ft. in Saint John, New Brunswick and 50,000 sq.ft. in Bedford, Nova Scotia. In addition to our engineered precast facilities for custom components, Strescon also operates a 32,000 sq. ft. facility in Saint John which manufactures standard concrete products for engineered drainage systems, such as pipe, manholes and catch basins.
We are seeking an entry‑level Precast Design Engineer to support the design of precast and prestressed concrete elements for a variety of construction projects. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who has a foundational understanding of structural engineering principles and a strong interest in precast concrete design. This role is designed for early‑career engineers who want to build expertise in precast concrete design. You’ll receive mentorship, hands‑on project exposure, and support in developing professional credentials.
