Job summary

PreCon Precast Limited in Woodstock, ON is seeking a general labourer to perform entry‑level duties in a concrete manufacturing facility. You will work as part of a team, follow safety policies, and learn to operate basic tools and equipment.

The role emphasizes manual tasks such as mixing and finishing concrete, reading simple instructions, and maintaining a clean work area. Prior construction experience is an asset, with potential for overtime and long‑term opportunities within the OSCO

Qualifications

• Completion of a high school diploma is an asset.
• Previous labourer experience in the concrete and/or construction industry is an asset.
• Certified crane or forklift training is an asset.
• Ability to use and read a tape measure is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings is an asset.
• Experience operating specialized concrete fabrication equipment is an asset.
• Experience operating overhead crane and/or forklift is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work in a safe manner and comply with all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and hazard free workspace.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management to complete work in a safe, efficient, and timely manner, with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to read and write in English and understand basic mathematics and measurements.
• Safely operate power tools and equipment related to job/task.
• Visually inspects all equipment, personal protection equipment for faulty equipment, worn out parts, and immediately reports his findings to Lead Hand or Supervisor.
• Placement of standard materials related to product, such as: insulation, erection hooks, etc.
• Mix, pour, rake, shovel, vibrate and finish concrete.
• Tie reinforcing, such as rebar to rebar, rebar to mesh, mesh to mesh, under specific direction.
• Nailing and fastening wooden forms under specific direction.
• Perform other general labourer duties as assigned.
