Job summary

PreCon Precast Limited, part of the OSCO Construction Group, is seeking a Production Supervisor for its Woodstock, Ontario facility.

You will lead daily operations, manage materials flow, coordinate with engineering, quality assurance and maintenance, mentor staff in a unionized environment, and drive lean processes to meet production targets safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial supervisory or materials management experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
• Engineering Technology degree or diploma, or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in precast concrete or similar manufacturing is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee reinforcing, carpentry, insulation and stores department with support from inventory department.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents to guide and plan production activities.
• Coordinate with the Engineering department on custom hardware requirements.
• Coordinate workflow, labour assignments, and material flow to align with production schedules.
• Support and work alongside Inventory Analysts to maintain inventory levels and prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Maintain and enforce compliance with safety policies and quality control procedures.
• Lead and supervise employees in a unionized environment to meet daily targets safely.
• Train, mentor, and develop production employees; facilitate cross‑training and skill development.
• Champion lean manufacturing principles and drive initiatives to streamline material flow.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance, for optimal production performance.
• Participate in production planning meetings and contribute to operational strategy.

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor supports daily operations in our Woodstock precast concrete facility, ensuring production targets are met by maintaining and ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the production process.

Through effective communication, determination and self-discipline, this role is responsible for planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials, components, and supplies needed for manufacturing operations. This role requires hands‑on leadership, knowledge in precast processes, and strong coordination with cross‑functional teams.

Technical Requirements:

• 3+ years of industrial supervisory or materials management experience, preferable in a unionized environment.
• Engineering Technology degree or diploma, or equivalent is preferred
• Prior experience in precast concrete or similar manufacturing is an asset
• Effective leadership and conflict resolution abilities

Business Requirements:

• Drive, determination, and a self‑disciplined approach to achieving results that meet and maintain job standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software
• Knowledge of safety regulations and lean manufacturing principles
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Cultural Requirements:
