Job summary

Paladin Airport Security Services (PASS) is seeking Pre-Board Screening Officers in Canada to uphold the safety of passengers and provide excellent customer service. You must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and meet screening, clearance and medical requirements.

Bilingual English/French is a strong asset. You will screen passengers and baggage, provide information with integrity, and ensure compliance with all regulations while protecting

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Able to obtain Transport Security Clearance; no unpardoned criminal record.
• Fluency in English; French is a strong asset (bilingual preferred).
• Able to comply with CATSA medical requirements.
• At least 1 year of exceptional customer service in a high-volume environment.
• Able to work any shift including early morning, day, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

• Scan/test baggage for prohibited items using X-ray and metal detectors.

What do Pre-Board Screening Officers do?

You will use your strong customer service skills to uphold the safety of passengers and create a positive travel experience by:

• efficiently screening passengers and baggage through airport security checkpoints
• providing information professionally and with integrity
• scanning/testing baggage for prohibited items usings X-ray machines, metal detectors and other technology
• protecting restricted areas
• upholding all regulations with vigilance

What you bring to PASS:

• You are 18 or older
• You have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• You are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
• You are able to obtain a Transport Security Clearance and have a no unpardoned criminal record
• You have fluency in English (verbal and written). Fluency in French is considered a strong asset - preference is given to Bilingual Candidates
• You are able to comply with the CATSA medical requirements
• You have demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, preferably in a high-volume environment for a minimum of one year
• You are available to work any shift as required by the airport operation. This will include early morning, day, late evening, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
• Physical Requirements of the role include but are not limited to: Visual (including colour) and hearing acuity, ability to lift/push/pull items up to 10kg, bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling and standing/walking/sitting for periods up to 2 hours.
