Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Practice Customer Developer in Data Management to collaborate with technical Sales teams and act as a data management SME. You will help customers and partners understand Google Cloud, craft cloud solutions, engage in proofs-of-concepts, and troubleshoot migrations and data back ends for new app development.

Qualifications

  • Build partner specific, go-to-market solutions to reduce business cycles and drive partner business as measured through pipeline and business growth.
  • Own the technical relationship with partners, enabling successful pilots or proofs-of-concept and coordinating migration efforts.
  • Build trusted advisory relationships and advise on integration strategies, architectures, and infrastructure for complete solutions on Google Cloud.

Experience owning outcomes and decision making, solving ambiguous problems and influencing stakeholders;deep expertise in domain.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture (e.g., database administration and solutions) in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience architecting solutions for data transformation, migration, governance strategies, high availability, or disaster recovery.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with data migration strategies and moving production systems in on-premise/data center environments or migration to cloud scenarios and SQL skills with deep query troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Experience in disaster recovery (DR) and data backup strategies.
  • Experience in understanding a customer’s existing software workloads and the ability to define a technical migration roadmap to the Cloud reflecting specific customer needs.
  • Experience in optimizing database performance with transactional or investigative workloads.

You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. You will have excellent technical, communication and organizational skills.

Canada: $194000 - $198000 (CAD) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Build partner specific, go-to-market solutions to reduce business cycles and drive partner business as measured through pipeline and business growth.
  • Own the technical relationship with partners, empowering them to drive a successful pilot or proof-of-concept, support partners drive toward customer acceptance of the technical proposal, leading to an agreement, and work with partners during the migration phase to assure they have all the tools necessary to deliver a successful deployment.
  • Build trusted advisory relationships and make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution providing best practice advice to customers to optimize Google Cloud effectiveness.
