Job Description

As a Practice Area Lead for Application Development (focused on SharePoint and Office 365) with 2toLead, you will be responsible for leading and developing the application development practice. The individual in this role will provide thought leadership to our clients, set strategic direction for the practice, and drive sales, recruiting, development, and operational efficiencies. This position ensures the quality execution of technology consulting across areas including Office 365, SharePoint, Azure, and Software Engineering (Front End, Mobile, Custom, DevOps).

Responsibilities

Practice Building

  • Drive growth through business development, talent management, delivery oversight, and thought leadership.
  • Develop best practices, case studies, and solution offerings.

Business Development

  • Lead business development activities and leverage contacts.
  • Identify and sell technology services to new and existing clients.
  • Manage client relationships and expand the client portfolio.
  • Participate in industry forums, events, and speaking engagements.

Team & Individual Development

  • Enhance team performance and job satisfaction.
  • Mentor and develop team capabilities.
  • Support recruiting and onboarding.
  • Coach and motivate team members.

Engagement Management

  • Manage engagement risks, budgets, and project deliverables.
  • Drive technology strategy discussions.
  • Oversee project documentation and status reports.
  • Manage client expectations and change requests.

Experience

  • 10+ years in software engineering engagement consulting or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership in managing multiple engagements.
  • P&L experience in a similar-sized consulting firm preferred.
  • Strong people management, mentoring, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build and grow client relationships and new business.
  • Background in full-stack software engineering and agile delivery.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and Office 365 solutions beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills for all levels.
