Job summary

NSCC Lunenburg Campus in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, invites applications for a casual Faculty, Practical Nursing in the School of Health and Human Services. The position commences approximately October or November 2026, with an application deadline of October 29, 2026.

You will be responsible for theoretical and practical instruction, on-site clinical supervision, and coordinating clinical activities across sites.

Qualifications

• Accredited Nursing Program-Diploma, Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing; current registration or eligibility with NSNMR.
• Minimum of five years full-time equivalent nursing experience in clinical settings; at least one year in Canada.
• Experience across medical-surgical, long-term care, and community settings is an asset.
• Familiar with MS Office and email.
• Comfort with liaising with industry and using technology for online/blended learning.
• Experience delivering education to adults is preferred.
• Experience providing performance feedback is an asset.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and health and safety practices.
• Ability to teach online/blended formats using LMS (e.g., Brightspace).

Responsibilities

• Provide both theoretical and practical instruction in the Practical Nursing program.
• Oversee on-site clinical supervision and evaluation, including coordination across sites.
• Design and deliver learning experiences using flexible teaching methods and technologies.
• Ensure health and safety practices in classroom, shops, and labs.
• Stay current with industry practices and 21st-century teaching methods.
• Support, advise, and liaise with industry and participate in committees and student work placements.
