By shaping and fostering a strong data strategy and culture, the team promotes ethical, secure, and compliant data use. Additionally, it oversees the data engineering and architecture functions, ensuring that our infrastructure is optimized for innovation, scalability, and AI integration. We are seeking visionary professionals to help lead the transformation of our data landscape, ensuring its integrity, accessibility, and impact across all business functions.

The development and delivery of strategic and operational dashboards is a key focus for the CDAO, providing business leaders with real-time insights to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of

As a PowerBI Lead (Senior Manager), you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the technical development of dashboards, reports, and other visualizations
  • Own the PowerBI infrastructure and coordinate with technical stakeholders
  • Provide technical guidance for the development and deployment of complex reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with the data visualization and data engineering teams to manage and assess feasibility based on forecasted internal project team’s time and resource availability
  • Develop data model requirements based on reporting requirements and available data
  • Coach and develop reporting team members through formal and informal upskilling, empowering them to contribute to increasingly complex projects
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in design reviews to ensure feasibility of requirements, quality and performance of products and solutions
  • Create and own technical best practices to be deployed across the team

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

  • Experience in PowerBI Development role and as a primary development lead
  • Certification in Reporting, BI or related field is an asset
  • Experience in reporting solutions design and deployment
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerBI (DAX, Access Controls and Data Ingestion, Complex Reporting)
  • Knowledge of Azure Synapse in relation to PowerBI
  • Advanced proficiency in developing dashboards and visualization models
  • Data transformation and cleansing through data profiling and root cause analysis
  • Proficiency in software development, testing and QA best practices
  • Experience upskilling technical skills in junior staff members
  • Experience in supporting multiple ongoing projects, providing support to junior developers and staff through the development lifecycle
