Are you a PowerBI Developer ready to make an impact? Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a PowerBI Developer-(Databricks/DAX). This position involves developing and maintaining Power BI reports, transforming data, managing data pipelines, and supporting payment/money transfer platform reporting. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative financial solutions within a dynamic team environment.

Pay rate range (CAD): $50.00/hr – $55.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to translate business requirements into Power BI reports.
• Build, update, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Perform data transformations and data pipeline management using Databricks.
• Work with SQL databases and write complex queries to support reporting needs.
• Support tax calculations and financial reporting functions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security throughout reporting processes.
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing existing reports and developing new analytical solutions.

Desired Skill-Set

• Hands‑on experience with Power BI reporting (3-5 years).
• Strong SQL expertise.
• Proficiency with Python and Databricks environment.
• Experience with data transformation and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Unity Catalog and Databricks interface.
• Knowledge of financial and payment systems such as money transfer and reconciliation reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with PySpark or Py‑Spark.
• Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
• Previous exposure to electronic funds transfer or ledger systems.
• Understanding of financial institutions’ reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with the client’s banking environment and transaction platforms.
