Execute electrical power system network analysis, perform electrical engineering design of projects, and provide solution-based engineering proposals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform power system engineering analysis of industrial, commercial, and utility electric power systems, including protection coordination, short-circuit calculation, arc-flash hazard analysis, power flow, ground grid design, and improvements of medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Evaluate analysis results and prepare reports with findings, recommendations, and mitigation strategies.
- Design electrical system improvements to support facility upgrades, aligned with customer needs.
- Collaborate with Solutions Sales team and potential clients to assess needs and develop energy solutions.
- Conduct on-site reviews with customers to identify their requirements.
- Provide engineering cost estimates and bid proposals.
- Apply engineering skills and adhere to applicable codes and standards to ensure electrical systems are safe, reliable, and cost-effective.
- Offer technical support and quality control for projects.
- Manage project timelines and foster long-term customer relationships.
- Willingness to travel to various customer locations across Canada.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in power engineering studies and design, particularly in industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Electrical Engineering Degree and registered Professional Engineer in Quebec.
- Experience with power system analysis, including short-circuit, protective coordination, load flow, and arc flash hazard analysis.
- Knowledge of power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, CYME), with a preference for ETAP.
- Experience in electrical design, network architecture, protection systems, and plant/facility processes.
- Strong problem-solving attitude and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Professional.
