Stantec is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Atlantic Region Delivery Center based in Fredericton, NB, with flexibility to be located in Fredericton, Halifax or St. John’s.

You will lead electrical design across project phases, supported by a skilled team, with opportunities for professional growth and balance between work and home life. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required.
• Eligibility for registration as a professional engineer in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and/or Newfoundland and Labrador.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial/utility electrical design would be an asset.
• Experience with tender packages and protection/controls design would be an asset.
• Familiarity with ETAP/EasyPower/SKM would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and engineering portions of all project phases from planning through post-construction.
• Coordinate drawings, specifications, schedules, and sketches from concept to construction.
• Collaborate with electrical team members, other disciplines, and clients to achieve project success.
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control on projects and peers’ work.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches for varying sizes of projects.
