Job summary

Moreau is seeking a skilled technician to operate, monitor, and maintain power generation equipment at a mining site in Northern Quebec. The role focuses on ensuring reliable power, safety, and compliance in a challenging field environment.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, analyze parameters, and prepare energy and maintenance reports while adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent training.
• Experience operating or maintaining power generation equipment is an asset.
• Experience with generator sets is an asset.
• Knowledge of high-voltage electrical distribution systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe operation of main and satellite power plants;
• Monitor operational parameters to guarantee reliable power generation;
• Monitor heat recovery systems and related equipment;
• Prepare required energy and maintenance reports;
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on power generation equipment;
• Diagnose mechanical failures and participate in repairs;
• Comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental standards;
• Perform other related tasks as required.
