Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech III) in the Power/HVAC division in Fort McMurray, Alberta. You will maintain and repair diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification/air purification equipment on rental and customer sites.

This role emphasizes hands-on mechanical and electrical work, strong diagnostic skills, and excellent customer service. Travel to customer sites and training of junior technicians are part of the job; you will document service activities

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across mechanical, hydraulic, diesel and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment.
• Report machine condition to Management and document service activities.
• Travel to customer sites as needed and demonstrate equipment to customers.
• Train lower level technicians as needed.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
