About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Power Generation Plant Operator to manage and monitor the operations of their facility in East London . This hands-on role is crucial for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable generation of power. You will be responsible for operating complex machinery, performing routine checks, responding to operational changes, and maintaining detailed logs. This position requires a strong understanding of power plant systems and a commitment to safety and operational excellence in a plant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor power generation equipment, including turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Respond effectively to abnormal operating conditions, alarms, and emergencies to ensure plant safety and stability.
• Maintain accurate operational logs, records, and reports of plant activities.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and operational protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Power Plant Operator or in a similar industrial operations role.
