Qualifications

  • Trade experience in plumbing, drywall repair, and painting is a plus.

Job Description

The Shift Engineer has the responsibility of taking complete care and maintenance of all the mechanical equipment in the hotel including high- and low-pressure boilers, guest rooms and equipment related to engineering.

What you will be doing :

  • Attend to all guest issues in 340 guest rooms in the hotel.
  • Support Rooms Maintenance personnel in project works in guest rooms.
  • Take temperature readings of all supply air units, concourse tenant spaces, meeting rooms, restaurants, guest rooms, converters, walk-in freezers and refrigeratorsIdentifying any issues to rectify.
  • Complete walk-throughs in all areas of the hotel to visually inspect,repair and / or report deficiencies.
  • Complete maintenanceofall other engineering equipmentsuch as Chiller / Cooling equipment, Boilers, Guarded Status, and the Pool.

Qualifications

  • Must be a holder of a Provincial 5th class power engineering ticket from the Department of Labour.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Trade experience in areas such as basic plumbing, drywall repair, and painting considered an asset.
