Qualifications

Job description

The Shift Engineer has the responsibility of taking complete care and maintenance of all the mechanical equipment in the hotel including high- and low-pressure boilers guest rooms and equipment related to engineering.

What you will be doing :

  • Attend to all guest issues in 340 guest rooms in the hotel.
  • Support Rooms Maintenance personnel in project works in guest rooms.
  • Take temperature readings of all supply air units concourse tenant spaces meeting rooms restaurants guest rooms converters walk-in freezers and refrigeratorsIdentifying any issues to rectify.
  • Complete walk-throughs in all areas of the hotel to visually inspectrepair and / or report deficiencies.
  • Complete maintenanceofall other engineering equipmentsuch as Chiller / Cooling equipment Boilers Guarded Status and the Pool.

Qualifications :

  • Must be a holder of a Provincial 5th class power engineering ticket from the Department of Labour.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Trade experience in areas such as basic plumbing drywall repair and painting considered an asset.
