Job summary

Sunrise Farms is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide high-level maintenance expertise for our facilities in British Columbia. You will inspect and repair equipment, support production and sanitation, and minimize downtime while adhering to safety and food-safety guidelines.

You will work with teams across the plant, document work performed, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure efficient operation and compliance with SOPs and HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or higher is required.
• 4th class power engineering certificate is required.
• Post-secondary education is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and a safety-first mindset are essential.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and maintain refrigeration and hot water systems.
• Coordinate with external service providers when required.
• Assist maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and costs.
• Support sanitation and plant operations as needed.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and repair promptly to reduce downtime.
• Maintain PCPs such as preventative maintenance logs and work orders.
• Ensure housekeeping and safe work areas are maintained.
• Maintain awareness of JSA’s, SOP’s, HACCP and food safety compliance.
