Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Power Engineer/Building Technician to operate a facility, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and support mechanical and building systems. The role requires adherence to environmental, health and safety, and fire protection standards.

Key duties include troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and assisting with facility projects. The candidate should possess a high school diploma with trades training and be willing to work shifts and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing.
• Minimum 3 years experience in preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC or related systems.
• Strong knowledge of facility operations and maintenance processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and building systems while adhering to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot facility, mechanical and electrical systems and suggest repairs or improvements.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to meet uptime and asset integrity goals.
• Maintain positive client relations through quality work and responsive service.
• Contribute to facility-related projects and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and fire protection standards.
• Manage work orders through from dispatch to resolution and document outcomes.
