Job description

Position Summary
We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Power Engineer 4 to fill a position at the GR Baker Memorial Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of the Manager or designate, the Power Engineer 4 (PW4) operates, repairs and carries out preventative maintenance on the boilers, air conditioning units, emergency power and other related equipment of the facility. Performs mechanical maintenance, repairs, and replacement duties related to the physical plant, buildings, and equipment approaching various journeyman trades qualifications. Supervises other maintenance workers and designated staff as required. Manages contractors and projects as required.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 07:00 to 15:00

GR Baker Memorial Hospital is a full care hospital with 27 Acute Care beds, 4 ICU beds and 5 crisis stabilization beds.

Qualfications
• Certificate of competency as a 4th Class Power Engineer.
• Grade 10 plus four (4) years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid BC Driver's License.
