Job Summary

The job consists of ensuring the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the entire power plant at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, as well as at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, as needed. The incumbent is also responsible for monitoring external buildings such as the Miramichi dialysis centre, Partenaire Dumont buildings, etc. via the control systems. They will also carry out all other related duties, as per the needs of the department.

Requirements
  1. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  2. Third class power engineer certificate, in accordance with the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act
  3. One year of previous experience is required
  4. Ability to perform assigned duties without constant supervision
  5. Working knowledge of computers
  6. Proven ability to organize and manage assigned workload
  7. Valid driver's licence (class 5) and good driving record
  8. Ability to operate and maintain machinery in good condition
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  10. Physical ability to perform assigned work
  11. Good work history (performance and attendance)
  12. Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values
  13. Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules
