Job summary

Flow Global Technology is seeking a QA/Automation Engineer to design and maintain automated tests for data pipelines and Power BI reports. You will validate DAX measures, relationships, and RLS while ensuring data reconciliation and quality across warehoused data and BI outputs.

The role requires SQL proficiency and experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Collaboration with developers will be key to delivering reliable BI solutions.

Qualifications

Experience designing automated test frameworks for data pipelines and BI reports.
Proficiency validating semantic models, DAX measures, relations, and RLS.
Ability to perform data reconciliation and quality checks across warehouses and reports.
Strong SQL skills for validating transformations and business logic.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for data pipelines and Power BI datasets/reports.
Validate Power BI semantic models including DAX measures, relationships, calculated columns, and RLS.
Perform source-to-target data reconciliations and data quality checks.
Write complex SQL queries to verify data transformations and business logic.
Test report functionality: visuals, filters, slicers, drill-throughs, and refresh behavior.
Conduct performance testing of reports and datasets; optimize DAX.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions / Jenkins).
Create test strategies, plans, and cases from requirements.
Log and triage defects; collaborate with developers on root-cause analysis.
Validate deployments across Dev/QA/Prod workspaces using Power BI deployment pipelines.
Document test results, coverage, and quality metrics for stakeholders.
