Overview

$1.50/hr. shift differential for 2nd or 3rd shift

($17.36 - $22.17/hr.)

This position will be responsible for loading and unloading the paint line.

Responsibilities
  1. Changing hooks and racks, setting line up for parts
  2. Loading and unloading parts from line
  3. Inserting and removing plugs from parts
  4. Inspecting parts for defects
  5. Communicating well with others and working as a team
  6. Complying with safety regulations, promoting workplace safety, and reporting all unsafe acts
  7. Performing various other duties as required
Qualifications

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic understanding of powder coating systems.

Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: Knowledge and ability to input critical data into a computer accurately and thoroughly.

Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment: The work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration, with noise levels usually loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
