Position: 1st Shift Blender (7am to 3pm, Mon-Fri)

Summary: Loads, unloads raw materials and additives, and operates blenders to produce Valve Guides and Valve Seat Inserts, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for creating a quality product.
  • Participates in training and uses preventative measures to meet customer and Tenneco standards.
  • Complies with legal and safety requirements to prevent injuries and health issues.
  • Reads and follows safety rules, procedures, routers, authorization sheets, SAP, and production schedules.
  • Monitors product quality using inspection equipment and verifies equipment settings.
  • Operates blenders safely, including starting, shutting down, loading, and unloading.
  • Handles materials using overhead hoists, forklifts, and hand jacks, ensuring proper loading and unloading.
  • Blends materials accurately, records results, and labels containers properly.
  • Uses lifting attachments and operates forklifts to move heavy objects.
  • Troubleshoots equipment and performs TPM through observation and cleaning.
  • Works overtime as required and performs other duties assigned by management.
  • Ensures blend sheet weights are signed off by qualified personnel.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Minimum one year related experience or training. Must have mechanical aptitude, forklift license, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Regularly stands, handles objects, reaches, and moves heavy loads up to 100 pounds. Works in environments with extreme heat, mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles. PPE such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes are required.

Note: Overtime may be mandated, and safety protocols must be followed at all times.
