The School & Applied Child Psychology program in the Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Strengths-Based Approaches to Girls & Women with ADHD.
Supervisor: Dr. Emma A. Climie ([email protected]), Registered Psychologist, Associate Professor, Director of Strengths in ADHD research lab (https://werklund.ucalgary.ca/adhd-kids)
Area: ADHD, resilience in children, youth, & emerging adults, with a focus on girls/women with ADHD
Duration: 18 months, with a possibility of extension depending on funding
Start Date: July or September 1, 2025 (to be agreed upon)
Salary: $60,000/year plus extended health care benefits
Job Description:
A full-time Postdoctoral Scholar (PDS) position is available at the University of Calgary, Canada, starting around July or September 1, 2025, under the supervision of Dr. Emma Climie. The PDS will contribute to projects exploring the strengths and experiences of individuals with ADHD across the lifespan, especially girls and women.
The role involves:
The PDS will work with researchers from different faculties and community organizations, have access to existing datasets, and be encouraged to develop independent research. They will receive supervision, mentorship, support for publications, grants, and career development. Teaching opportunities are available but not mandatory.
