Job summary

North York General Hospital in Toronto is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow to lead occupational health data research under the supervision of Dr. Karen Tu.

The fellowship centers on building a longitudinal EMR‑linked database, integrating imaging, ED, hospital admissions, and primary care data to evaluate care pathways and return‑to‑work outcomes, with opportunities to publish and present findings.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field with demonstrated quantitative methods expertise.
• Experience with EMR data, linked health datasets, and health admin data.
• Strong scientific writing and ability to publish in peer‑reviewed journals.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a large occupational health research database.
• Design data extraction, cleaning, validation, and QA for EMR data.
• Develop linked datasets across rehabilitation, imaging, ED visits, admissions and primary care.
• Collaborate with clinicians, health system partners, and policy stakeholders.
• Prepare manuscripts and present findings at conferences; supervise trainees.
