Job summary

Canada Post in Nanaimo, BC is seeking a temporary on-call Postal Clerk to support mail operations in a dynamic environment. You will work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, overnights and weekends, with on-call scheduling and opportunities to learn about Canada Post’s mail operations.

The role requires a self-starter with flexible availability; no prior experience is necessary, and production experience is an asset.

• Receive and accept mail items
• Sort, scan and sequence and batch mail items
• Transfer and load a postal truck
• Transfer and dispatch parcels and packets
• Complete reports and documentation
• Lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50lbs)
• Perform other postal clerk duties as required
